Edwin W. Slade, Jr., D.M.D., J.D.
Dr. Slade has practiced oral and maxillofacial surgery in the Philadelphia area for more than 27 years. He graduated from the University of Connecticut and received his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He was a resident in Dental Medicine and Surgery at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Connecticut/Hartford Hospital. He received his law degree cum laude from Temple University School of Law and performs medical/dental-legal consulting.
Dr. Slade is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS). He is a member of the Academy of Osseointegration. He has served in numerous leadership positions within oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Slade has been President of the Pennsylvania Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Delaware Valley Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is the District II Trustee to the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and is their representative on the Board of Directors of the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).
Dr. Slade is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.
