David W. Cunning, D.M.D.
Dr. Cunning has practiced oral and maxillofacial surgery in Bucks County since 1990. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and received his dental degree from Temple University School of Dentistry. He completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Louisville after doing a general practice residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Reading, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Cunning is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology . He is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He is also a member of the American Academy of Osteointegration, the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, the Montgomery Bucks Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the Delaware Valley Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Dr. Cunning was a clinical Assistant Professor of Oral Surgery and Pharmacology at the University of Pennsylvania for over 16 years.
He and his wife Jackie have founded a mission called “Sharing the Journey International”, where he performs cleft lip and palate surgery in Guatemala. Dr. Cunning has been active in the missions field since 1990 and was honored by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in 2012 by receiving the Humanitarian of the Year Award.
